Hello my name is Alex Brent and welcome to this video on his site in privacy in this video we will look at the privacy gateways how to set them up how to test and finally deploy the Gateway to the site so let's make a start the Gateway list is the central page for all the Gateway configurations from here you can click into each gateway to configure the settings and then submit these to the testing server and then finally publish the Gateway to the live site the gateways listed here correspond to each published path set up in the manage account by default this means dev stage and prod but for insight and tag management customers this may appear different if other spaces or bootstraps have been created you can easily create a new gateway by clicking on the create a new gateway button however please note that each publish path can only have one gateway assigned to it so if you see the message no available publish paths this means that every published path already has a gateway assigned to it if you are in a site and manage customer you can easily create additional gateways and publish paths by creating a new space within the manage interface if you do not have access to insight and manage then you will need to contact us in order to create a new publish path to assign to a gateway the gateways can easily be turned on or off by toggling the small switch in the Gateway row on the right you have the gateway menu from this menu you have the ability to edit the gateway submit the changes to the testing server publish the configuration to the live site copy the entire gateway to another gateway or reset the Gateway completely if you want to start again we will go into the configuration settings in the following videos our recommended approach to setting up testing and releasing your configuration is to use the dev or stage and prod workflow start with configuring your dev or stage gateway and publish this change to the development site make the changes required and then publish again to test your changes in the development site again when you are happy with your changes you can merge the whole configuration over to the next gateway by using the merge button in the menu on the right this will copy the entire configuration over to the new gateway from here you can then go about publishing and testing your configuration in the same way you thank you for watching this video on the inside and privacy gateways overview in the next video we will look at the configuration settings for the individual gateways and what each part means for now thanks for watching
