Welcome to the training video on managing mobile events. My name is Richard Jones, and I'm a mobile implementation consultant at InsightOn. Mobile events are published to customers using a three step process enable, Commit and then publish by clicking on the checkbox next to an event. This enables the process icons to appear next to add event you as all new events are enabled by default. You can see that my newly created events are enabled but I have the ability to disable and then re enable the events.

The disable icon will disable all the events that you would like to unpublish from your app. The status will reflect the current state disabled and uncommitted. The enable icon allows you to re enable the events. The next process step is committing an event. Committing an Event deploys the event to the Nexus test staging environment where it can be tested before being published live out to the users of your app.

Information on testing events is available in the Testing and Debugging video. Committed events cannot be edited. If you need to make a change to an event, you will need to uncommit the event first. uncommitting an event is very simple as well.

To publish an app to deploy all committed tags to the users of your app, click on the Publish button. A popup window will appear detailing which events will be published. Click OK to publish. The publishing icon will appear at the top of the screen to let you know that a publish is in progress. The final icon is the merge icon.

This allows you to duplicate an event in an app. You cannot merge tags across operating systems. So if you are merging an Android event, this can only be copied into another Android app. Thank you for joining me for this video.
